Festival of Li Tajulì pilusi: living the true Italy

A hamlet amidst the green hills; Moregnano invited us with a breeze of fresh air ,creating a  spectacular atmosphere to relive the history.

The festival of “Li tajuli pilusi” was not only an occasion to  relive history but to taste some as well.
Retracing the recipe of  the “vergara” (a woman incharge of medieval italian household) a sumptuous plate of “Li tajuli pilusi” was made just with whole wheat flour,salt and water.
An insightful discussion with the elderly,hands on experience in making our dish of the day,an impromptu attempt on art and creativity followed by a delicious meal and a live musical performance – sums up the wonderful festival.
For us this festival meant an event of beauty,history and deliciousness coming together.

There was no better way to live “Italy” as the italians do.
